I’m having the best year ever in business and my clients are crushing it.

–80K in new revenue

–2 new clients booked in the first 30 days

–$71K contract

On the other hand, I’ve had some impressive screw-ups this year, too.

Here are a few off the top of my head:

–I planned and promoted a money masterclass. I had the lesson down and I’d even gone over the basic delivery several times. When it came time to go LIVE? Yeah, my computer camera wouldn’t work. I had to download and install a new version of my browser…which was predicted to take a LONG time. I ended up doing the class late via my phone. Have you ever held your phone in the air for 30 minutes while teaching? It’s awesome. (…insert eye-roll here.)

–I do a limited amount of free calls each month. The spots went from always being taken to nothing being taken. I thought I’d lost my marbles. It turns out, during that time I’d decided to make my free calls 45 minutes rather than 30 minutes (they run 45 anyway.) Well, when people went to book calls, they couldn’t because there were no 45 minute slots available, only 30. My scheduler wasn’t having it. …so that was a highly frustrating season of suck.

–Oh, I interviewed one of my clients so everyone could hear first hand from someone who has worked with me what it’s like. We scheduled the event and were ready to roll. Have I mentioned technology? When it came time to go live, I had every technological problem in connection and sharing known to the interwebs. We did air, though! Only 45 minutes late. (And Eileen is fabulous.)

Beautiful, everything doesn’t have to be perfect when you run a business.

Just keep going.
